Fearne Cotton has been announced as patron of children's charity Tyler's Trust, set up by Tyler Murphy to help those who have been diagnosed with a brain tumour, or are suffering from a life threatening condition.

Murphy was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2010 at the age of 12 and underwent a series of operations to try and remove the tumour, and has been in and out of hospital for further treatment since. The trust delivers a gift box to children suffering from these conditions, with items including a bandana, an MP3 player and a journal. Cotton said 'Tyler is an amazing person and I was so impressed by his work I jumped at the chance to be patron of this incredible charity'.
